It’s Halloween in Standoff 2! Introducing the Paranoia update featuring a dark atmosphere, unique characters, and new challenges.
Isolation Mode
Welcome to Isolation, a new limited-time Halloween mode!
Two teams of four fight here: Maniacs and Special Forces. Each side has three unique characters, and every hero has their own weapon and abilities.
But eliminating enemies isn’t enough to win this time. Your main goal is to collect 30 enemy capsules.
When a player character dies, they drop a capsule belonging to their team. If an enemy grabs it, their team gets one point. But if a teammate of the fallen player gets to the capsule first and secures it, it disappears and doesn’t give the enemies any points.
The first team to collect 30 capsules wins. If the match time runs out first, the team with more points wins.
After your character dies, you’ll respawn after a short delay. Before respawning, you can choose a different hero from your team. Switch roles throughout the match and try out different abilities!
Maniacs
Three dangerous enemies with unusual weapons and abilities. Each one brings their own style of combat.
Clown
A long-range specialist armed with a modified Desert Eagle. Clown can place a special tracker and teleport to it. He also has a grenade that slows enemies down. On top of that, Clown can pick up capsules from farther away without getting close.
Brute
A powerful close-range fighter with a huge meat cleaver. Brute places traps and can pull enemies toward him. Even after death, he’s still dangerous: a dead Brute explodes.
Ghost
A stealthy character who’s great for ambushes and surprise attacks. Ghost can create a clone decoy that explodes if an enemy destroys it. She uses a special teleport grenade and stays partially invisible at all times.
Special Forces
Special Forces also has three unique characters. Their abilities help support allies, detect enemies, and control space.
Engineer
A support character armed with a P90. Engineer can place an automatic gun turret that attacks enemies. His special grenade speeds up allies while slowing down opponents. Additionally, Engineer’s health regenerates over time.
Minesweeper
An assault trooper who uses two primary weapons, VAL and SPAS, and can switch between them. His abilities include a special mine that chases enemies and explodes, and a trap grenade.
Pathfinder
A scout armed with Akimbo Uzi. Pathfinder can scatter enemies and throws a special smart smoke grenade that lets him detect enemies inside it. He can also use tracking to get extra information about enemy movements.
Asylum Map
Isolation takes place on a temporary map called Asylum, an old hospital with dark corridors and a dangerous environment.
The map stands out for its many interactive objects.
Here’s what you’ll find on Asylum:
Defensive Turrets. Turrets at respawn points always attack approaching enemies. You can’t destroy or disable them.
Hanging Chandelier. Shoot the mounts to drop a heavy chandelier on enemies. When it falls, it deals area damage and slows nearby players.
Door. To open the door, shoot the button next to it.
Gas Cylinders. Shooting a cylinder creates a fire area that damages players inside.
Steam Batteries. Shoot a battery to release steam and block visibility.
Cryogenic Cylinders. When hit, they create a slowing area.
Electrical Panels. When hit, they create an area of electrical damage that also slows players.
Supply Crates. Let Special Forces restore resources.
Computers. Special devices that let Special Forces detect all enemies on the map for a while, even through walls.
Use the environment together with character abilities. On Asylum, even an ordinary object can change the course of a fight!
Battle Pass: Paranoia
The classic Battle Pass is back!
Complete missions, level up your Battle Pass, and earn rewards from the new Halloween Paranoia collection. Just like before, there’s a Free Pass and a Gold Pass with extra rewards.
The Free Pass now includes boxes from the Valor, Dynasty, and Division collections that aren’t in the Shop. So don’t miss your chance to get these truly unique containers!
As for the Gold Pass, you can buy it for 1,000 Gold. Want to get the items you want faster? Feel free to buy levels separately or in bundles.
And the biggest rewards are 6 new knife skins!
Spin: Paranoia
The Spin: Paranoia event launches alongside the Battle Pass, with new rewards and its own progression system. It’s a three-part event: Spin rolls, themed missions, and a separate Spin track.
Spin
Roll the Spin to get random items from the Paranoia collection. You need a special currency to take part: Spin Coins. You can buy them with Gold or in the Shop.
Each roll gives you a random item plus 300 event points that move you along the Spin track.
From Spin, you can get new items in iconic color schemes, like the Mallard “Infection,” M4A1 “Raider,” AKR “Arcane Surge,” and UMP45 “Emberbird” skins. The Scratch line is growing too: it now includes the G22 “Scratch” and three items in the red V2 color scheme: the FN FAL, the Mantis knife, and gloves.
Additionally, the biggest reward is the agent “Scratch” in two styles: Raven and Red Viper. So Spin lets you collect a full set!
Please note that leftover Spin Coins expire when the event ends, so spend them in time.
Missions
The second part of the event is 12 themed missions, split into three groups of four.
Each group has its own access requirements:
Free — the first group, available for free.
Coins — unlocked for 3,000 Coins.
Gold — unlocked for 500 Gold.
When you unlock a paid group, you immediately get 1,200 event points. And for completing any mission, you get another 400 points per mission.
Inside unlocked groups, you can complete missions in any order. But keep in mind: progress won’t count while the group is locked. If you meet a mission’s condition before buying access to the group, that progress won’t be counted.
The missions include short story descriptions from TJ, Scratch, and Beholder that help you learn more about Standoff 2 lore. The main reward for completing all 12 missions is the Paranoia V2 medal! Don’t forget to claim the medal manually during the event.
Spin Track
You earn points by rolling the Spin and completing missions, and those points level up your Spin Track.
The track has 13 levels total. The first reward is free. For each reward after that, you need to earn event points. You can earn points three ways: rolling the Spin, completing missions, and unlocking extra mission groups with Coins or Gold.
The track includes graffiti, stickers, the Shield “Paranoia,” and grenade skins: Thermite “Dragon” and Molotov “Scratch.”
But the best items are near the end of the track:
Level 10: the new Epic agent TJ.
Level 11: the “Paranoia” charm.
Level 12: the FAMAS “Dragon” StatTrack.
Level 13: the “Paranoia” profile frame.
You’ll be able to buy and sell all Spin: Paranoia items on the Marketplace after the event ends.
Custom Lobby Templates
We’ve updated how templates work for custom match settings. Saving your own settings and sharing them with other players is now easier.
The main change: templates are now tied to your account. They stay available even after reinstalling the game or switching devices.
Set up a custom match, save it as a template, and reuse it later. No need to set everything up again each time. You can also edit, rename, and delete saved templates.
Now you can share templates by ID: just copy your template’s ID and send it to another player. The custom lobby leader can import those settings and apply them to their match.
Please note that someone else’s template isn’t added to your list automatically. To keep those settings for future games, create your own template based on them or update an existing one.
