Get your swimwear and sunscreen ready! We're having a pool party!

Every cool plot has a beach episode sooner or later. Yet, there's a lot going on in the update: fragments, a new mode, the return of voice chat, a temporary map, lots of updates and reworks. It'll be fun!

Temporary Mode "Pool Party"

You asked us many times to bring back the "Capture the Flag" mode. We decided to add it to the summer update theme — that's how we came up with "Pool Party".

Two teams are fighting for the umbrella instead of the flag. Everyone wants some shade under the burning sun! Your task is to capture the enemy umbrella and bring it to your base. If the character who's carrying the umbrella gets killed, their teammate can pick it up and move on. Don't let the enemy capture your "flag" and try to steal the enemy umbrella as many times as possible.

Special jump pads, water guns, and a firecracker grenade will help you with that. The mode takes place on the themed Ocean Breeze map. You can familiarize yourself with a detailed overview of the map in the video below.

Voice Chat

The voice chat makes a long-awaited comeback!

We've redesigned it to improve the quality of communication and add new features. The voice chat now features noise canceling, which will improve your communication. You'll be able to communicate with your team even after your character dies, which will help share important information. Moreover, you will be able to use the voice chat in the lobby.

And if someone is distracting you, you can easily mute this player with the touch of a button. You can mute both the voice and text chat.

Battle Pass Changes

We made a few changes to the Battle Pass in the FUN&SUN update. The first thing that will catch your eye is the updated window and interface. But the best part is inside!

Now leveling the BP will get you special cases or item packs instead of random rewards. For example, reaching a new BP level with get you a special container with skins instead of a random skin. You can open it and receive a random reward. You can also sell the container on the Marketplace when the collection becomes available for sale.

There are only two daily missions now, and they can be executed in literally any game mode. One more mission a week is now available for Gold Pass owners. But don't worry, you can complete the entire Pass without purchasing the Gold version. The progress of the extra mission will also be tracked. So if you decide to purchase the Gold Pass later, you'll be able to pick up all the extra rewards.

By the way, Gold Pass can now be bought for Gold (but you can't buy levels for Gold). Leveling the Pass has also become easier thanks to the new system: we took away the "stars", settled on classic experience numbers, and reworked the balance. Now the distribution of experience looks like this:

  • All daily missions — 25 BP levels;

  • All weekly missions — 36 BP levels;

  • Extra Gold Pass mission — 7 BP levels.

We focused on weekly missions to make the leveling of the Battle Pass less dependent on daily farming. But you'll still need to execute a few daily missions.

Keep reading to find out about the new Battle Pass reward.

Fragments

Introducing Fragments — a new in-game element. Just like the other items, they have a rarity and can be used to get more skins from the collections available in the store. Now they're Empire, Fable, Revenge, and Chameleon. But they'll change over time.

By combining 10 Fragments of the same rarity, you are guaranteed to get a skin of the same rarity from the available collection. You can also upgrade 10 identical Fragments to one, but of a higher rarity — just like when crafting skins.

The new item will be available for sale on the Marketplace, so you'll be able to buy the missing parts.

You'll receive a Fragment Box from the Battle Pass as a reward for leveling up. And there's a chance that it'll drop at the end of the match. The Fragment Box has a higher drop rate in ranked modes than in regular ones.

The best part is that Fragments can be Nameless quality! You can't upgrade Arcane Fragments to this quality, but you can get it from a Fragment Box. Now you can craft the skins from the Nameless collection!

New HUD

The HUD is the visual part of the interface that allows the player to get information such as their health or ammo count. And we've redesigned it!

When you enter the match for the first time, you'll notice some changes: new icons, slick interface, and flexible settings. Customize the HUD to your liking — reposition the radar or create several button layout presets.

You can now reset the values for each button individually instead of resetting all at once. To avoid unwanted taps, we've added a zone where touches don't register. The kill view option has been improved in the new HUD. You'll see detailed information about the hits and damage the enemy took, as well as damage statistics per round in the Combat Report after your character dies.

We could talk about the changes forever. That's why we're going to release a video dedicated to the new HUD soon. In the meantime, explore the new customization in the game!

Level Progression Update

We've already changed the level system in the Hot Winter Party update, and now we're doing it again. We happen to change the progression only at the parties.

Don't worry, your level won't be reset and all the level rewards will stay with you. The lineup of awards will become more compact. You might even get extra rewards you haven't gotten to yet. This is the way it's supposed to work.

When you reach level 300, you'll receive a special Stat-track profile frame that'll display your level progress. You'll be rewarded with 3 Fragment boxes for each level above 300.

FUN&SUN Collection

A collection full of summer vibes is waiting for you in the updated Battle Pass. Bright colors, resort motifs, and a carefree atmosphere.

The Battle Pass is going to last 6 weeks and will feature 270 levels. You'll already get the main reward on reaching level 45 — this time around it's 6 knives: Karambit, Sting, Tanto, Kukri, Dual Daggers, and Scorpion.

Blitz!

Let's talk briefly about the other updates and new features.

Pool duel map

A new Breeze-themed map is available for duels. Check it out and play the temporary "Duel 2v2" mode, which will last 2 weeks after the update is released.

Automatic system that kicks AFK players

If a player is AFK, the system will send them a warning. If they take no action, the system will automatically kick them out of the match. The unresponsive player will receive a restriction on competitive modes as if they left such a match themselves.

Tournament mode

You can create a special Tournament mode in the custom lobby. It's based on the Competitive one with a few changes. The Spectator receives the rights of a match administrator, who can pause and restart the round from the beginning in case of any problems. The spectator camera has been improved — it now automatically switches to an active player so you don't miss any highlights!

Kill count

A new indicator has been added to all modes that shows a series of kills and kill types. For example, a headshot, grenade, or knife kill, etc. The types and series of kills will count towards your profile stats.

At the end of the round of modes based on "Defuse", you'll also receive new information on the results:

  • Ace — when a single player kills the entire enemy team;

  • Team Ace — when every member of the team scores a kill;

  • Clutch — when a player who's the only survivor wins the round;

  • Flawless — when no one was killed on the winning team.

Crafting changes

Having introduced Fragments into the game, we're making a small change to the skin crafting system. You will now need 10 skins of the same rarity from the same collection to craft something. When crafting, you will receive a skin from the same collection.

Sunny Zone 7

Summer begins, the nights get shorter, and the sun rises over Zone 7. Yes, it's daytime on the map now. Be sure to play a few matches on the updated map and share your opinion on social networks!

Inspecting skins in hands

Now you can check out what a skin looks like in your hands before purchasing it. Match an item with gloves and find an ideal combination! Knives and guns can now be inspected in hands.
