Beholder: Champions — Update 0.39.0 Description

Written by Feedback Axlebolt

Beholder’s deadly games return. Get ready to fight for the title of the champion!

Beholder Games 2

We’re introducing an updated version of the mode from the Beholder: Gambit update!

In Beholder Games 2, you’ll go through five randomly selected challenges in each match. After all five trials are done, the player with the most victory points wins.

There are ten challenges in total. Five of them will be familiar if you played The Beholder Games last year, while the other five are completely new. Each trial takes place in its own unique location, so even the challenges you’ve played before will feel completely new.

This year’s trials include

Parkour

Make it through a tough obstacle course and be the first to reach the finish. You can use a few different strategies: a long but easy route, a fast but tricky one, or something in between.

Stop! Go!

Freeze when the light is red and sprint when it’s green. Be the first one to reach the finish but be careful: if you break the rules, you’ll have to start all over from the beginning.

Laser Room

Make your way past the lasers and get to the finish. If you touch even one, you’ll have to restart from the checkpoint.

Everyone is an Enemy

A classic free-for-all battle. Grab a gun and take out your enemies. The more frags you get, the more points you earn!

Maze

Find your way out of the foggy maze and try to do it before anyone else. Remember that following other players isn’t always a smart move.

Colorful Platforms

Memorize the colors of the floor platforms. Once they fade, step on the right one to earn points.

Hazard Zone

The tiles beneath you turn red before they explode. Try to stay away from them or shoot them to outplay your rivals.

Portals

Memorize the sequence of symbols at the start of the match. Then go through the portals in that exact order of symbols. If you make a mistake, you’ll have to start over from the beginning.

Wrecking Ball

Huge wrecking balls are coming your way, so act quickly. Sprint ahead, use covers to shield yourself, and reach the finish before they crush you.

Target Practice

Memorize the order of the colored targets. Find them on the map, hit them in the correct order, then run to the finish. If you shoot the wrong one, you start over.

Updated Item Menu

We keep working to make the game’s interface better and easier to use. Thanks to the big UI update in version 0.38.0, we’re ready to add even more new features.

Now, when you tap an item in your inventory, you’ll see a new item menu. The usual options like Inspect, Equip, and Find on Marketplace are still there.

But we’ve also added some new things:

  • The menu now shows the item’s collection logo

  • Managing charms and stickers is much simpler now. Tap a skin to see which charms and stickers are on it

  • You’ll see the item’s lowest current price next to the Find on Marketplace button

  • If you select more than five random skins for the same weapon, a shuffle loadout pop-up will ask you to replace one of them with a new skin

Even though the item menu is bigger now, it looks more modern and user-friendlier.

Battle Pass and Champions Collection

Check out the futuristic Champions collection in the new Battle Pass that’ll run for six weeks.

The biggest reward is gloves this time, and you unlock them every 45 levels. Even Free Pass players get gloves when they progress their Free Pass to level 45, though these gloves will be temporary.

You can still buy the Gold Pass with Gold, and we continue the trend with the early item collection availability, just like in Season 11. That means the latest Champions collection is already live on the Marketplace!

So the sooner you get a cool skin, the higher the price you’ll be able to sell it for!

Other New Features

Item info in the inspection screen

The item inspection window now gives you more details. You can see the lowest price for that item on the Marketplace, as well as learn if the item can be sold at all. Plus, we added a timer that shows when you can put the item up for sale.

Minor Tweaks

  • You can now rotate agents while in the lobby

  • The profile window now shows whose profile you’re currently looking at

  • The Creator Code tab is now available for more countries

  • The Bank tab has been renamed to Gold

  • You can now swipe left and right to switch between the Offers, Shop, and Gold tabs

  • The inspection screen now has a hint that explains how to get temporary items

  • After you buy something in the Shop, you stay in the Shop instead of switching to your Inventory

  • If you’re inactive outside a match, the screen now dims after 5 minutes and goes into standby mode after 15 minutes

  • During a match, the back button now closes the weapon buy menu instead of opening the pause menu
