New Mode: The Beholder Games

Ten different trials in one mode! In the Beholder Games, you’re to complete a series of five challenges that will be selected randomly in every match.

Your goal is to score the winning points. The better you perform in a trial, the higher your score will be. The player who gets the most points after completing all five challenges wins. Every round counts towards victory.

The Beholder Games have 10 trials in store for you:

  1. Stop! Go! When the round starts, rush to the end of the trial. Move when you see the green light and stop when it turns red. If you break this rule, you’ll be returned to the starting point.

  2. Laser Room. Walk through the room without touching the lasers.

  3. Exploding Isles. Jump between the platforms and get to the end of the trial. Be careful but act fast because the platforms will be constantly exploding!

  4. Parkour. Try your best to avoid falling down. Jump between the platforms and walk along the narrow pathways to get to the end of the trial. You’ll reach a checkpoint when you complete half the challenge. This is where you’ll spawn if you fall down.

  5. Maze. Find a way out of the maze.

  6. Phantom Platforms. Make your way to the end of the trial using the invisible platforms. You can follow your intuition and try to simply jump your way to the other side, but using the F/S to find the platforms will be a safer and easier option.

  7. Hidden Targets. Find 10 targets on the map, shoot them all, and make it to the end of the trial.

  8. Grenade Battle. Throw grenades across the barrier and explode your enemies. The player who scores 10 kills first wins.

  9. Illusory Bridge. Use the platforms to find the right path to the end of the trial. Some of them are real while others are fake. Try your luck or learn from the mistakes of other contestants.

  10. Everyone is an Enemy. Grab a gun and shoot. Simple as that. The one who scores 20 kills first wins the challenge.

First place goes to whoever completes the objective the fastest, like reaching the end of the trial or getting a certain number of kills.

Surround Sound

We’ve improved positional sound in the game. So, you’ll find it much easier to identify the location of a sound source like gunfire, footsteps, explosions, etc.

Use headphones to get the best sound experience.

Customizing Aim Smoothing

We’re addressing the “unstable sensitivity” issue. Now you can customize or disable aim smoothing in the game settings. This will make aim sensitivity sharper and more responsive.

The effects of changing aim smoothing settings will be less noticeable on select devices because they may not fully support this feature.

Battle Pass Gambit

There’s a new Battle Pass with 45 levels. This time, the design of the rewards is inspired by the Maya, Inca, and Aztec civilizations. Also, the BP features some items that reference Beholder. Among these items are his mask, emblem, and even his personal Deagle.

And the biggest reward of the Battle Pass is 6 new gloves, including White Camo that references the legendary Snow Camo.

VAL Orbit

We’re launching a new special offer that features a unique skin — VAL Orbit. This is an exclusive item designed to celebrate the Cosmo Major tournament.

Don’t pass up on the opportunity to add this unique skin to your collection. Support pro players with VAL Orbit! A portion of the proceeds from this special offer will be distributed between a group of teams who participate in the Major.

Changed Marketplace Sorting

Now the Marketplace offers new filters for containers. So, you’ll have a much easier time looking for cases, boxes, and packs.

We’ve also changed how listing items on the Marketplace works. Currently, if you’re about to put an item up for sale and set the same price that’s already been chosen by other players, your item will be placed at the bottom of the list.

Imagine a player wants to sell a skin for 5 Gold, but an identical item with the same price tag has already been listed on the Marketplace. So, if this player puts their item up for sale for 5 Gold, it’ll be moved to the bottom of the list containing identical skins priced at 5 Gold. However, if the player decides to list this skin for 4,99 Gold, their sale request will move to the top of the list.

Improved Graphics

New visual effects are available on high graphics settings. We’ve upgraded the greenery, water, and window reflections on most maps!

Fixed Left Shoulder Bug

The so-called left shoulder bug was a well-known issue, and we spent months fixing it. Getting rid of it was easier said than done. To eliminate this problem, we had to create a new character skeleton from scratch, implement it into the game, and ensure that everything worked as intended.

The changed animations in the Kitsune Dreams update were also related to adding the new skeleton and fixing the left shoulder bug. The old animations needed a few minor adjustments to meet the requirements of the new skeleton.

Thanks to these changes, we were finally able to fix the annoying shoulder bug. Also, the new skeleton will help us add a few more cool features into the game in the future.

Other Improvements and Bugfixes

  • Pausing the game no longer affects the buy phase duration. You can gear up after the match is resumed

  • The tournament mode now features action confirmation windows for the Restart Round and Pause buttons

  • The auto purchase feature in the buy menu has been improved

  • The buy menu interface has been updated

  • Fixed the bug where the Ts would always win the round if the last standing opponents killed each other simultaneously. The system that registers the death of the player character is more accurate now. So, if the surviving enemies eliminate each other at the same time, the player who gets the kill faster wins.

  • Now the progress of the mission where you need to win a few ranked matches will also be counted if the enemy team surrenders

  • Custom lobby description is back

  • We’ve added a feature that lets you copy the tag as well as the name of the clan

  • Fixed the bug that wouldn’t let the players watch ads (when opening the ad section for the first time)

  • Clan names written in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese characters are now displayed correctly
