1. About the system

1.1. Definitions

Criteria — parameters that help evaluate the team (for example, the team may have a YouTube channel, compete in other eSports disciplines, etc.).

Prize pool — total funds that will be allocated amongst the teams based on their performance.

Tier (team level) — a category that shows a team’s strength and media influence in the discipline based on the set criteria. The team’s tier is accounted for when allocating prize money.

Points — units of assessment gained by meeting certain criteria. The total amount of points determines the team’s level.

Support program — a motivation and reward system for eSports organizations that have completed all registration steps and comply with the basic conditions for participation.

Merch — in-game content that is part of the prize pool and support program.

Billing period — a period of time needed to collect and analyze team data and allocate the prize pool amongst the teams based on the assessment results.

Structural change — any significant change in the team’s activity that affects its points (for example, gaining the support of an influencer, having more media coverage, adding team compositions).

Cut-off date — a calendar date that freezes the structural organization of the team. All changes that come after that date (for example, presenting an ambassador or launching a new channel) will not affect the team’s assessment in the current period.

Record date — deadline for submitting data according to the criteria for the current billing period.

1.2. General provisions

These regulations establish a points system as well as the team tiering system based on a set of quantitative criteria.

They also determine the rules the teams need to follow to participate in the support program, and govern the system that calculates the shares from the prize pool.

The purpose of these regulations is to provide a transparent and objective assessment of the team's contribution to the development of the eSports discipline and its popularity, as well as describe the prize allocation system based on this assessment.

These regulations come into force the moment they are published and are valid through December 31, 2025. Upon expiration of the specified period, these regulations will cease to be valid and will be replaced by a new version, which may include updated terms of the team support system and principles of prize allocation.

Within the framework of these regulations, one or more billing periods may be defined for prize allocation purposes. The teams' points are re-evaluated before every billing period in accordance with the established criteria.

These regulations apply only in cases when the game publisher or a third party takes the initiative to pay prize money. The following regulations do not create or imply any obligations to pay prize money. All payments are voluntary and are made solely at the discretion of the publisher or relevant third party.

The game publisher is not obligated to distribute and pay prize money. Distribution and payment of prize money may be carried out by a third party. In that case, all disputes and objections related to the distribution and payment of prize money must be referred to the relevant third party.

To ensure transparency and uniformity of the assessment, two key terms are introduced: the cut-off date and record date described in paragraph 1.1.

Structural changes that occur after the cut-off date are not taken into account when calculating points within the current period.

For the first billing period, the cut-off date is the date of publication of these regulations. The record date is the 7th calendar day after publication.

For each subsequent period, the cut-off and record dates will be announced additionally by the publisher no later than 14 calendar days before the start of data collection. Changes to the current regulations will be made by the publisher.

These rules are aimed at preventing tier abuse and ensuring equal conditions of participation for all teams.

A prerequisite for participating in any type of eSports team support program is that organizations have the following:

  • trademark

  • legal entity

All disputes that are not settled by these regulations, as well as issues of interpretation of its provisions, are considered and resolved by the game publisher. The publisher has the right to final interpretation of the regulations.

The current regulations may be changed or updated by the publisher of the game.

All changes are published in a new version and come into force the moment they are published, unless otherwise specified.

1.3. Prize allocation system

1.3.1. General provisions of the system

The prize pool allocation system is as follows:

  • 50% of the total prize pool is distributed evenly among all teams participating in the support program

  • the remaining 50% is distributed among the teams tiered as A, B, C, or D according to the principle described below

Team tiers:

D Tier - teams with 0 points.

C Tier - teams that scored 1-3 points.

B Tier - teams that scored 4-8 points.

A Tier - teams that scored 8-13 points.

The maximum amount of points is 13, and up to 3 additional points may be awarded at the discretion of the game publisher.

Points that can be gained in one category do not accumulate, and the best result is chosen instead. For example, if the team has been involved in the discipline for more than 3 years, they get only two points. So, no additional point is awarded for this category: Active in competitive Standoff 2 for 1 year.

The second half of the prize pool is distributed among the team tiers in the following proportions:

  • The D Tier teams share an additional 0% of the second half of the pool.

  • The C Tier teams share an additional 25% of the second half of the pool (12.5% of the total pool).

  • The B Tier teams share an additional 50% of the second half of the pool (25% of the total pool).

  • The A Tier teams share an additional 25% of the second half of the pool (12.5% of the total pool).

Higher-tier teams also receive a percentage of the lower-tier prize pools.

1.3.2. Prize allocation system at work

As an example, assume there are 8 teams participating in the program, and their tiers are as follows:

  • 1 A Tier team

  • 2 B Tier teams

  • 3 C Tier teams

  • 2 D Tier teams

1. First half of the prize pool (50%)

The first half of the total prize pool is evenly distributed between all 8 teams.

That means each team gets 1/8 of 50%, which is 6.25% of the entire pool.

2. Second half of the prize pool (50%)

The remaining 50% is split between tiers as follows:

  • 12.5% (of 50%) for C Tier
    Split between all C, B, and A Tier teams (3 + 2 + 1 = 6 teams).
Each team gets 1/6 of 12.5%, or about 2.08% of the total pool.

  • 25% (of 50%) for B Tier
    Split between all B and A Tier teams (2 + 1 = 3 teams).
Each team gets 1/3 of 25%, or 8.33% of the total pool.

  • 12.5% (of 50%) for A Tier
The single A Tier team gets this entire portion.
Equal to 12.5% of the total pool.

3. What each team gets in total:

  • A Tier team:

    • 6.25% (base amount)

    • 2.08% (from C tier pool)

    • 8.33% (from B tier pool)

    • 12.5% (from A tier pool)

Total: 29.17% of the prize pool

  • Each B Tier team:

    • 6.25% (base amount)

    • 2.08% (from C tier pool)

    • 8.33% (from B tier pool)

Total: 16.67% of the prize pool

  • Each C Tier team:

    • 6.25% (base amount)

    • 2.08% (from pool C)

Total: 8.33% of the prize pool

  • Each D Tier team:

    • 6.25% (base amount only)

Total: 6.25% of the prize pool

This distribution means that higher level teams get additional shares from all lower levels. The higher the level, the more shares from different sources the team gets. An example graphical representation of the distribution follows in Diagram 1.

2. Assessment Criteria and Awarding Points

2.1. Basic Participation Criteria

If a team participated in the group stage of the Major preceding the event involving the merch that forms the current prize pool, they receive 1 point.

If a team has been competing actively in Standoff 2 for at least 12 consecutive months at the time of application, they receive one point.

If a team has been active in Standoff 2 for 3 or more years with no extended hiatuses, they receive 2 points.

Actively competing includes:

  • participation in online or offline tournaments

  • regular announcements of matches/results

  • an active Standoff 2 roster

The start date of a team's presence in competitive Standoff 2 is the date they first participated in the group stage of an official Standoff 2 tournament. If a team has not been active in official tournaments for more than 180 days, they will no longer meet the uninterrupted participation criteria, and their participation period will be reset.

The team receives an additional point if they have at least one active roster in a different eSports discipline.

Activity criteria:

  • Regular participation in official tournaments/leagues. Regular means at least 2 times in the past 6 months

  • having a full roster (containing at least 3 players)

Official tournament — a competition organized or sanctioned by the official governing body of the discipline (federation, league, game publisher, or rights holder) and recognized at the international level.
To be counted under this criterion, the tournament’s official broadcasts must have an average online viewership exceeding 1,000 people.

3. Additional Points

The game publisher, at its own discretion, reserves the right to award teams up to 3 additional points for contributions to the development of Standoff 2 as an eSports discipline and the advancement of eSports in general.

These points can be awarded for activities that are not covered by the basic criteria, but influence the discipline's popularization.

Examples include but are not limited to the following:

  • releasing video content related to Standoff 2 that receives a significant number of views or resonates widely ("goes viral")

  • running other major media resources (public pages, Telegram channels, websites, blogs, etc.) that cover Standoff 2 eSports on a regular basis, but do not fall under the basic criteria

  • holding regular streams of the team's players that are related to eSports

  • other methods of popularizing Standoff 2 as an eSports discipline

All decisions about awarding additional points will be displayed in Table 6. The table contains:

  • a description of the activity or achievement

  • team name

  • number of additional points awarded

  • date the points were awarded

If other teams complete an analogous activity or achievement, these teams can request additional points if the same parameters are followed.

Final decisions about awarding additional points and displaying them in the table of precedents will be made by the publisher and are considered final.

4. Limitations and Fairness

Teams participating in the program are required to follow principles of transparency and fair competition.

If metrics manipulation (including artificially inflating follower, view, like, or comment counts, or other indicators), or any other form of falsifying digital data or bypassing ranking criteria is discovered, the team responsible will have their rights to remuneration revoked, including shares from merch sales, for up to 5 years.

However, teams do have the right to increase reach using available promotion tools, including:

  • paid or organic ads

  • collaborations with content creators, influencers, organizations, and the media

  • holding giveaways, challenges, or other marketing activities

All contentious situations and potential violations will be reviewed on an individual basis at the publisher's discretion.
